It’s a long time that i don’t post anything on this beautiful forum. Using this Christmas holidays I would like to share with you my latest Murat
It’s a version inspired by the famous painting did by Antoine Gros to celebrate one of the most important and successful battle of the Egyptian campaign. Murat is taken sword in his hand on a nervous Arabian horse .

I started to make the figure choosing the most appropriate components available on the market
The horse come from Metal Modeles range. Originally was the horse ot the mameluke officer, cleaned by all the unnecessary details like saddlery and head. Neck was re-sculpted to match the position and the horse head is an old resin
Rider start with hussar legs and new torso done in Milliput Terracotta ( all the red parts are in that material)
From this point I think that pictures show better than many words the process till the painting
